SICILY. Katane. Circa 461-450 BC. Litra (Silver, 11 mm, 0.65 g, 2 h). Head of Silenos to right, wearing wreath of ivy and an animal ear. Rev. KAT-ANE Winged thunderbolt; two shields flanking. Boehringer, Kataneische, Series I, Li 1. SNG ANS 1238. Nicely toned. Minor scratches and edge chipping, otherwise, nearly very fine.
